Crossing Paths
In 2011, Andy Goldsworthy, installed "Wood Line", (2011) a sloping, sinuous curve of branches through a standing eucalyptus grove near Lovers’ Lane, the Presidio’s oldest footpath. I met a fellow landscape and wildlife photographer on this damp San Francisco morning, and the sculpture seemed symbolic of the fleeting moments where paths cross in the business of everyday life.
