Stone Arch Bridge is an iconic structure in Minneapolis. I found myself on the shoreline of the Mississippi river shooting this shot, while providing a tasty buffet to the hoards of mosquitoes that decided I made for a pretty good fast food option.
The Timbisha Tribe of Native Americans refer to Death Valley as "Tumpisa", which means "Rock Paint". The valley is full of rock faces with pastel colors, which come to life when they catch the evening rays. This shot, taken at Zabriskie Point, picks up the colorful hues as the sun was setting.
I've come to realize that reflection is a good thing -- and I guess this photo captures the essence of reflection for me. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at sitting still and just taking a moment -- but maybe we should all give it a try more often! Who knows, we may like the result!
